Well, I've been working in a warehouse for Xerox for four and a half months now. In that time, we have went up from shipping 50% of the products to the western hemishpere to more than 70% of all products shipped in the western hemisphere being done by us. In those few months, I was working for a temporary agency as a contract, but now I am officially hired on and I'm working directly for Xerox. Of course it gets better...since apparently I'm the most competent in the recieving area, they went ahead and made me a fill in lead, with me actually filling in the position of lead the second day of my actual full time hire on date. Yep, 19 years old and I'm in charge of the department that has products coming in from all over the world, along with all the people in the department. However, it's still akward for me to go up to a full grown 40 year old male and tell him exactly what to do or to correct him when he does something wrong, along with talking to one of the top CEO's about how things are going and which trucks we can unload and such, which budget centers are sending incorrect manifests and everything.

When they say that life comes at you fast, they really weren't kidding. I'm now working at LEAST eleven hours a day since I have to go in early everyday to see whether I'll be lead and to back up other departments where I'm needed. Yea, I'm making a lot of money, especially for someone my age, but what about the free time?!?! I haven't beat a game in over three months because of work.

Sorry, just had to rant, vent, and what other things. To the few who may read this, enjoy the youth while you can kids. And if someone I know reads this and knows when the next LAN party is, please let me know. I don't think anybody remembers who I am anymore.
